HOLLYWOOD PARK FOUNDATION PROMOTES THE HEALTH, EDUCATION, AND WELFARE OF INDIVIDUALS AND COMMUNITIES IN INGLEWOOD AND GREATER LOS ANGELES COUNTY, CA. IT PROVIDES YOUTH DEVELOPMENT SERVICES THAT HELP YOUNG PEOPLE GROW INTO HEALTHY, EDUCATED, AND PRODUCTIVE ADULTS.THE FOUNDATION EXHIBITED THE KINSEY AFRICAN AMERICAN ART AND HISTORY COLLECTION, WHICH IS CONSIDERD ONE OF THE LARGEST AND MOST COMPREHENSIVE OF ITS KIND. CURATED BY KHALIL KINSEY AND HISTORIAN LARRY EARL, THE EXHIBITION FOCUSES ON THE LIVES AND ACCOMPLISHMENTS FROM THE 16TH CENTURY THROUGH THE YEARS OF SLAVERY AND EMANCIPATION TO THE CIVIL RIGHTS MOVEMENT AND MODERN-DAY.
IN CONJUNCTION WITH LA BOWL, A COLLEGE BOWL GAME, THE FOUNDATION PROVIDED SCHOLARSHIPS AND DONATIONS TO STUDENTS, TEACHERS, AND CHARITABLE ORGANIZATIONS LOCAL TO THE CITY OF INGLEWOOD AND GREATER LOS ANGELES COUNTY. THROUGH THESE DONATIONS THE FOUNDATION WAS ABLE TO FURTHER PROMOTE THE IMPROVEMENT OF EDUCATION IN THE LOCAL COMMUNITY IN LINE WITH THE FOUNDATION'S PURPOSE.
