THE SENECA FOUNDATION PROVIDES UNDERPRIVILIGED RECENT HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATES WITH PAID TRAINING AND EMPLOYMENT IN STEM FIELDS. PARTICIPANTS ARE ELIGIBLE TO RECEIVE FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TOWARDS A STEM DEGREE TO FURTHER THEIR CAREER AND EDUCATION.

APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAM: APPRENTICES TAKE A GAP YEAR TO PARTICIPATE IN THE SENECA PROGRAM AND BEGIN THEIR COLLEGE JOURNEY AFTER THEIR APPRENTICESHIP. APPRENTICES PARTICIPATE IN A 6-MONTH PAID, INTENSIVE TRAINING PROGRAM, THEN ARE HIRED BY A SENECA PARTNER FOR PERMANENT EMPLOYMENT THAT BEGINS WITH A SIX-MONTH APPRENTICESHIP. SENECA APPRENTICES ARE PAID A LIVING WAGE, FROM THE FIRST DAY THEY BEGIN THE PROGRAM.
SCHOLARSHIPS AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT: APPRENTICES RECEIVE PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT SKILL-BUILDING, MENTORSHIP, AND COLLEGE ADVISING. EACH APPRENTICE IS ELIGIBLE FOR A $3,000 ANNUAL SCHOLARSHIP, RENEWABLE UP TO FIVE-YEARS.
