NATIONAL INDEPENDENT TALENT ORGANIZATION - NITO IS A MUTUAL BENEFIT NONPROFIT ORGANIZATION (THE "ORGANIZATION") WITH THE PRINCIPAL MISSION TO PROMOTE THE ADVANCEMENT OF COMMON BUSINESS INTERESTS OF INDEPENDENT TALENT AGENCIES AND MANAGEMENT COMPANIES IN THE UNITED STATES. THE ORGANIZATION PURSUES THIS MISSION BY PRIMARILY ENGAGING IN LOBBYING AND GENERALLY SUPPORTING SIMILARLY SITUATED INDEPENDENT TALENT AGENCIES AND MANAGEMENT COMPANIES THROUGH VARIOUS INITIATIVES.

THE ORGANIZATION INTENDS TO PROVIDE ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANCE WHICH WILL SUPPORT ITS MEMBERS AS GROWING BUSINESSES. SUCH ASSISTANCE INCLUDES GENERAL DISCUSSION AND RESEARCH REGARDING MARKET CHANGES WHICH MAY IMPACT CONTRACTUAL TERMS. FOR EXAMPLE, THE ORGANIZATION HAS HAD DISCUSSIONS REGARDING THE IMPACT OF COVID-19 ON RECENT CONTRACT TERMS AND ACCEPTABLE ALTERNATIVE LANGUAGE TO CONSIDER. FURTHER, THE ORGANIZATION WOULD LIKE TO PURSUE AVENUES TO PROVIDE AFFORDABLE INSURANCE PLANS FOR MEMBERS.
THE ORGANIZATION WILL LOCATE AND INITIATE EVENTS WHICH FURTHER THE INTERESTS OF ITS MEMBERS. INITIATIVES MAY INCLUDE PANDEMIC RELIEF, ADVOCACY AND OPPORTUNITIES WHICH PROMOTE NETWORKING.
THE ORGANIZATION WILL INTERVIEW AND ENGAGE A LOBBYING FIRM TO ASSIST WITH THE CREATION OF A PROCESS TO IDENTIFY RELEVANT LEGISLATION WHICH FURTHERS THE COMMON BUSINESS INTEREST OF ITS MEMBERS AND TO ORGANIZE AN APPROPRIATE LOBBYING PLAN. THE ORGANIZATION WILL ALSO ASSIST WITH REVIEW OF THE LANGUAGE CONTAINED IN PROPOSED LEGISLATION AND WILL ADVOCATE FOR LANGUAGE WHICH ADDRESSES THE NEEDS OF THE ORGANIZATION'S MEMBERS.
