IN 2022, CLIPPED IN FOR LIFE SERVED OVER 1,600 UNIQUE PEOPLE THROUGH 6,400+ REGISTRATIONS TO OUR EVENTS. THIS RANGED FROM THREE-YEAR-OLD KIDS LEARNING TO RIDE A BIKE FOR THE FIRST TIME, TO 70-YEAR-OLD PARTICIPANTS FINISHING A CYCLOCROSS RACE.THE FOCUS WAS ON THE FOLLOWING:CREATE CYCLING OPPORTUNTIES FOR YOUTH IN ORDER TO ENCOURAGE THEM TO MAKE RIDING BIKES A WAY OF LIFE. TO THIS END, WE:WON A $5,000 GRANT TO BUY 20 KIDS STRIDER BIKES AND TAUGHT 40 KIDS AGES 3-6 HOW TO RIDE A PEDAL BIKE OVER THE SUMMER.HOSTED MORE THAN 225 KIDS AT OUR FREE "BALANCE BIKE BASHES" TO HELP KIDS ON STRIDER BIKES GET EXCITED TO BE ON BIKES.PUT ON 12 YOUTH-FOCUSED MOUTAIN BIKE RACES THAT GARNERED 950+ REGISTRATIONS FOR KIDS AGES K - 8 GRADE.CREATED A SPRING AND FALL "RIDE CLUB" FOR 75 MIDDLE SCHOOLERS TO RIDE BIKES WITH THEIR FRIENDS TWICE A WEEK (14 WEEKS TOTAL).TAILORED A THREE-RACE MOUNTAIN BIKE SERIES FOR HIGH SCHOOLERS TO PRACTICE RACING BEFORE THEIR SEASON BEGAN.
