ACQUIRED OR PURCHASED SURPLUS FOOD PREDOMINANTLY FROM FARMERS AND DISTRIBUTED IT WITH EMPATHY TO PEOPLE IN NEED. VOLUNTEER LED ORGANIZATION COORDINATED EVERY STEP FROM FINDING NEW SOURCES OF NUTRITIOUS SURPLUS FOOD TO ORGANIZING TRANSPORTATION TO ENSURING RESCUED FOOD WAS GIVEN TO PEOPLE WITH FOOD INSECURITY FOR FREE. SUPPORTED THE FARMING COMMUNITY AND WORKED TOWARDS SUSTAINABLE SOLUTIONS FOR THE FOOD SYSTEM. IN 2021 EASTWEST FOOD RESCUE DISTRIBUTED APPROXIMATELY 21,680,000 POUNDS OF FOOD TO ORGANIZATIONS SERVING THOSE WITH FOOD INSECURITY.
