EASTSIDE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT FUND (ECDF) IS A NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION WORKING TO ADDRESS OUR COMMUNITYS SOCIAL NEEDS THROUGH ENGAGING, CONNECTING, AND MOBILIZING BUSINESSES AND CIVIC ORGANIZATIONS THROUGH FUNDING, CONVENING, AND ADVOCACY.

5 YEAR PLAN TO ADDRESS HOMELESSNESS : ECDF WORKED WITH THE KCRHA IMPLEMENTATION BOARD, ELECTED OFFICIALS, AND LOCAL NON-PROFITS TO IDENTIFY BEST PRACTICE STRATEGIES THAT SHOULD BE IN THE FIVE-YEAR PLAN TO ADDRESS HOMELESSNESS. ECDF THEN WORKED WITH THE IMPLEMENTATION BOARD WHERE WE DRAFTED AMENDMENTS TO THE PLAN THAT SUPPORTED THE NEEDS OF EAST KING COUNTY.


RENT RESTRICTED AFFORDABLE HOUSING ACCESS IMPROVEMENT PROJECT: ECDF HAS MET WITH CITY STAFF, ARCH STAFF, NON-PROFIT PROVIDERS, AND PROPERTY MANAGERS TO EXPLORE WAYS TO IMPROVE ACCESS TO THE RENT RESTRICTED UNITS THAT ARCH MONITORS IN EAST KING COUNTY. SHELTER & RESOURCE APP PROJECT: ECDF HAS EXPLORED MULTIPLE WAYS TO CREATE AND LAUNCH A SHELTER AND RESOURCE APP THAT CAN HELP PEOPLE IN NEED, AND THE WIDER PUBLIC, MORE EFFECTIVELY AND EFFICIENTLY CONNECTED TO NEEDED SHELTER AND SUPPORTIVE RESOURCES.


BY NAME LIST DATA IMPROVEMENT PROJECT: ECDF WORKED WITH KCRHA, EASTSIDE CITY STAFF, ELECTED OFFICIALS, AND LOCAL NON-PROFITS TO IDENTIFY BEST PRACTICES TO IMPLEMENT A BY-NAME-LIST AND SHARED DATABASE FOR SERVICE PROVIDERS AND CITIES TO USE TO GAIN A COMPREHENSIVE UNDERSTANDING OF THE NEEDS OF PEOPLE EXPERIENCING HOMELESSNESS. ECDF HAS THEN STARTED ADVOCATING FOR THE ADOPTION OF A PILOT PROJECT IN EAST KING COUNTY TO ACHIEVE THIS GOAL.


MENTAL HEALTH & ADDICTION SUPPORT MAPPING AND CONVENING: ECDF MET WITH MULTIPLE EASTSIDE CITY STAFF, AND MANY LOCAL NON-PROFITS TO MAP OUT AND UNDERSTAND THE GAPS AND CHALLENGES IN THE MENTAL HEALTH AND ADDICTION SUPPORTIVE SERVICES SYSTEMS IN EAST KING COUNTY. WE THEN CONVENED A GROUP OF PROVIDERS AND IDENTIFIED THE NEED FOR A SUBSTANCE USE DISORDER CREDENTIALED DEGREE PROGRAM ON THE EASTSIDE. ECDF THEN WORKED LAKE WASHINGTON TECH TO ADD THIS DEGREE PROGRAM.
