WHEN CONSUMERS ARE CHEATED OR THE VOICES OF ORDINARY CITIZENS ARE DROWNED OUT BY SPECIAL INTEREST LOBBYISTS, NMPIRG SPEAKS UP AND TAKES ACTION. WE WE UNCOVER THREATS TO PUBLIC HEALTH AND WELLBEING AND FIGHT TO END THEM, USING THE TIME-TESTED TOOLS OF INVESTIGATIVE RESEARCH, MEDIA EXPOSÉS, GRASSROOTS ORGANIZING, ADVOCACY, AND LITIGATION.

RESEARCHING AND INFLUENCING PUBLIC POLICY: STAFF ENGAGE IN LEGISLATIVE ACTIVITIES INCLUDING RESEARCH, EDUCATION, AND POLICY DEVELOPMENT TO STOP THE POLLUTION FROM SINGLE-USE PLASTICS, PROTECTING CONSUMERS FROM UNFAIR PRICE GOUGING AND WORKING TO GIVE CITIZENS THE RIGHT TO REPAIR THEIR OWN DEVICES.
