TO PROVIDE EDUCATION AND TRAINING TO ARCHIVISTS AND TO DEVELOP AND PROMULGATE SOUND PRINCIPLES AND TECHNIQUES OF ARCHIVAL AND RECORDS ADMINISTRATION THROUGH AN ANNUAL MEETING, EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS, AND PERIODICALS.

ANNUAL MEETING - PROVIDES SAA MEMBERS AND OTHER ARCHIVAL PROFESSIONALS WITH AN OPPORTUNITY TO ATTEND PROFESSIONAL SEMINARS, SPECIAL INTEREST GROUP MEETINGS, FORUMS, AND SAA BUSINESS MEETINGS. THE FY2022 ANNUAL MEETING WAS HYBRID WITH LOWER ATTENDANCE OF APPROXIMATELY 1,777, OF WHICH MORE THAN 50% WAS VIRTUAL ONLY. THERE WERE 42 EXHIBIT BOOTHS SOLD.
OTHER PROGRAMS INCLUDE PUBLICATIONS AND AWARDS.
EDUCATION - SAA IS COMMITTED TO PROVIDING HIGH-QUALITY CONTINUING EDUCATION THAT IS RELEVANT AND ACCESSIBLE TO PROFESSIONAL ARCHIVISTS VIA A VARIETY OF DELIVERY METHODS. SAA OFFERED 24 TOTAL PROGRAMS IN 2021-2022, WITH 1,019 PARTICIPANTS AND 276 ON-DEMAND WEBCAST PURCHASES.
