PROVIDING YOUTH LIVING ON THE CONFEDERATED TRIBES AND BANDS OF THE YAKAMA RESERVATION WITH EMPLOYMENT AND SKILL DEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNITIES AS WELL AS MENTORING, CHARACTER BUILDING, AND LIFE SKILLS TRAINING.

VOCATIONAL TRAINING PROGRAM THAT TEACHES JOB SKILLS IN THE SCREEN PRINTING AND EMBROIDERY INDUSTRY. THROUGH THIS PROGRAM WE TEACH WORK ETHIC, FINANCIAL LITERACY, JOB PREPAREDNESS, AND CHARACTER SKILLS. BY THE END OF 2023 WE HAVE EMPLOYED 26 YOUTH, HELPED 7 EMPLOYEES OBTAIN THEIR DRIVER'S LICENSES, HELPED 11 EMPLOYEES OPEN BANK ACCOUNTS, HELPED COMPLETE 4 COLLEGE APPLICATION AND 4 FAFSA FORMS, LED 11 EMPLOYEES THROUGH THE STRENGTHFINDERS CURRICULUM AND SERVED HUNDREDS OF LUNCHES. EMPLOYEES ARE LEARNING VOCATIONAL SKILLS AND SOFT SKILLS SUCH AS PUBLIC SPEAKING, ORGANIZATION, COOPERATION, AND TEAM WORK.


DEVELOP A ROBOTICS TRAINING PROGRAM FOR ELEMENTARY AND MIDDLE SCHOOL YOUTH. TAUGHT 68 3RD GRADERS AN INTRODUCTION TO ROBOTICS. LED AN AFTERSCHOOL PROGRAM FOR 5TH AND 6TH GRADERS IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE LOCAL ELEMENTARY SCHOOL. TEACHING A ROBOTICS CLUB AT THE LOCAL K-8 FOR MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENTS.


A VOCATIONAL TRAINING PROGRAM THAT TEACHES JOB SKILLS AND CHARACTER SKILLS THROUGH A FLOWER SEED, BULB, AND TUBER FARM. EMPLOYEES LEARN ABOUT PLANT IDENTIFICATION, PLANTING PLANS, FERTILIZATION, MANAGING WATER USAGE AND MARKETING AND SALES.
