KURA LABS PROVIDES A FREE TRAINING AND JOB PLACEMENT ACADEMY FOR CAREERS IN INFRASTRUCTURE COMPUTING, DEVOPS, SRE, AND CLOUDOPS FOR INDIVIDUALS FROM UNDERSERVED COMMUNITIES. IT OFFERS ADVANCED, HIGHLY INTERACTIVE, FUNCTIONAL TRAINING WITH EXPERT INSTRUCTORS WITH EXTENSIVE INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE. STUDENTS ARE PLACED IN CROSS-FUNCTIONAL TEAMS AND RECEIVE ONLINE INSTRUCTION IN SIMULATED WORKFORCE ENVIRONMENTS. LEADING INSTRUCTORS, INCLUDING SENIOR ENGINEERS AT VARIOUS EMPLOYER PARTNERS AND RENOWNED TECHNOLOGISTS, TRAIN STUDENTS IN THE BASICS (PYTHON, LINUX, SERVER CONFIGURATION, VIRTUALIZATION, AND NETWORKING), STATE-OF-THE-ART OPEN- SOURCE SOFTWARE (JENKINS, ANSIBLE, NAGIOS), AND MORE ADVANCED TECHNOLOGIES SUCH AS CONTAINERIZATION WITH DOCKER; INFRASTRUCTURE AS CODE WITH TERRAFORM; AND DEPLOYMENT OF DECENTRALIZED APPS ON THE BLOCKCHAIN. THROUGHOUT THE COURSE, STUDENTS GAIN EXTENSIVE EXPERIENCE IN AMAZON WEB SERVICES (AWS) AND DEVELOP COMPETENCY IN CLOUD FUNDAMENTALS THAT TRANSLATE TO ALL PROVIDERS, INCLUDING GOOGLE CLOUD AND MICROSOFT AZURE. THE ACADEMY IS A 6-MONTH PROGRAM (JULY - DECEMBER) THAT RUNS TUESDAY THROUGH THURSDAY EVENINGS & ALL-DAY SATURDAYS. KURA LABS WAS RECENTLY NAMED A NATIONAL TRAINING PARTNER OF GOOGLE CLOUD.
