EVENTS: WITH THE GOAL OF INCREASING FOOT TRAFFIC AND COMMERCE IN OLD TOWN, OTCA HAS ORGANIZED A SERIES OF ART OPENINGS, AND BLOCK PARTY STYLE EVENTS. THESE TAKE PLACE ON STREET PLAZAS AND IN A GALLERY SPACE THAT IS LEASED BY THE OTCA. NEARLY WEEKLY ART OPENINGS, STREET ACTIVATIONS, CULTURAL EVENTS, AND MARKETS WERE HELD REPRESENTING THE BROAD CONSTITUENTS AND VIEWPOINTS OF THE NEIGHBORHOOD. THE OPENING NIGHTS FOR GALLERY EVENTS AVERAGED 150 PEOPLE, STREET EVENTS AVERAGED 1,000 PEOPLE.CAPITAL PROJECTS WERE ALSO MANAGED BT THE OTCA: $500,000 ARPA GRANT FOR NEIGHBORHOOD RESILIENCY ENHANCEMENTS$$100,000 LANTERN PROJECT
