DURING THE 2021 TAX YEAR, TERRAFFIRM MADE THE FOLLOWING GRANTS: (1) TO FIREFIGHTERS UNITED FOR SAFETY, ETHICS, AND ECOLOGY TO DEVELOP AND DISTRIBUTE ADVOCACY MATERIALS TO PROMOTE BROADCAST BURNING FOR ON-SITE BIOCHAR PRODUCTION IN AN EFFORT TO REDUCE THE EFFECT OF WILDFIRES, (2) TO POINT BLUE CONSERVATION SCIENCE TO MAP AND PUBLICLY SHARE SOIL ORGANIC CARBON (SOC)LEVELS FROM 2015 TO THE PRESENT ACROSS CALIFORNIA RANGELANDS IN ORDER TO INFORM POLICY MAKERS AND LAND STEWARDS ON WHAT PRACTICES THEY CAN RELY ON AND WHAT AREAS ARE MOST IN NEED OF WORK TO RESTORE HIGH LEVELS OF SOC, (3) TO POINT BLUE CONSERVATION SCIENCE TO FUND TRAINING OF POINT BLUE STAFF MEMBERS TO ATTAIN BASIC WILDLAND FIREFIGHTER CERTIFICATION, AND (4) TO POINT BLUE CONSERVATION SCIENCE TO DETERMINE WHICH SITE FACTORS MODERATE GAINS IN SOC WITH MANAGEMENT.
