HEALING PROGRAM ACCOMPLISHMENTS INCLUDE: FIRST GROUPS OF GRADUATES FROM FALL AND SPRING, HEALING/COMMUNITY PROGRAM'S FIRST ANNUAL RETREAT, MEN'S PROGRAMS SERVING MORE MALE SURVIVORS, SPECIFIC WELCOME GROUP FOR ALL SURVIVORS CONNECTING WITH TO FACILITATE CONNECTEDNESS TO PROGRAMS AND COMMUNITY.
COMMUNITY SUPPORT: FIRST ANNUAL HEALING/COMMUNITY RETREAT. ADDED SPECIFIC COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT COORDINATOR, WHO IS A HEALED, EMPOWERED AND EQUIPPED ABORTION SURVIVOR FROM OUR PROGRAMS, TO THIS SPECIFIC PROGRAM. INCREASED LEVELS OF COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT AND SUPPORT VISIBLE AND TRANSFORMATIONAL.
EDUCATION AND SKILL DEVELOPMENT: ADDED A EDUCATION COORDINATOR, WHO IS A HEALED, EMPOWERED AND EQUIPPED ABORTION SURVIVOR WHO HAS GRADUATED FROM OUR PROGRAMS AND HAS A MINISTRY AND TRAINING/EDUCATION/SPEAKING BACKGROUND. NEARLY 10 GRADUATES OF THE SPEAKERS TRAINING, OUR FIRST EMPOWERED BY LIFE SPEAKING EVENT HELD WHICH LAUNCHED THESE SURVIVORS PUBLICLY FOR THE FIRST TIME. THESE SURVIVORS ARE NOW BEING OFFERED SPEAKERS' REPRESENTATION BY AMBASSADOR SPEAKERS BUREAU, FILLING A GAP THAT HAS EXISTED IN THE PRO-LIFE MOVEMENT AND PUBLIC, AND HELPS TO FULFILL OUR MISSION OF SURVIVORS BEING SEEN AND HEARD, EVERY HUMAN BEING SEEN AS MORE THAN A CHOICE.
EDUCATION AND OUTREACH: ABORTION SURVIVORS HAD A GROUNDBREAKING YEAR, EDUCATING THE PUBLIC ABOUT FAILED ABORTIONS AND ABORTION SURVIVORS. NOTEABLE IMPACTS INCLUDE: REGULAR PRESENCE IN THE MEDIA FOR INTERVIEWS, MENTIONS EVEN IN CONGRESSIONAL HEARINGS WITH OUR DATA AND INFORMATION, TEAM MEMBERS PRESENTING AT TWO NATIONAL CONFERENCES (CARENET AND THE PRO-LIFE WOMEN'S CONFERENCE, ONE OF OUR PROGRAM GRADUATES BEING IN A NATIONAL CAMPAIGN WITH THE SUSAN B. ANTHONY LIST, AN AMICI BRIEF IN DEFENSE OF OUR POPULATION BEING FILED NATIONALLY.
