OUR MAIN ACCOMPLISHMENT FOR 2021 WAS LAUNCHING THE RAISE THE WAGE NEBRASKA COALITION. OVER 25 NEBRASKA ORGANIZATIONS AND INDIVIDUAL COMMUNITY LEADERS JOINED TOGETHER TO WORK ON INCREASING NEBRASKA'S MINIMUM WAGE. TWO NEBRASKA APPLESEED ACTION FUND STAFF HELPED FACILITATE THE GROUP. THE COALITION CRAFTED AND SUPPORTED THE FILING OF A BALLOT INITIATIVE TO GRADUALLY RAISE NEBRASKA'S MINIMUM WAGE FROM $9 AN HOUR TO $15 AN HOUR BY 2026 AND THEN INDEX TO INFLATION THEREAFTER.
