PASSING POLICY THAT PROMOTES ECONOMIC SECURITY. DURING THE SPRING 2021 COLORADO LEGISLATIVE SESSION, CENTENNIAL STATE PROSPERITY WORKED TO PASS CRITICAL BILLS THAT WILL HELP REDUCE THE COSTS OF HEALTHCARE, PROVIDE ECONOMIC SECURITY TO COLORADO COMMUNITIES, AND PROTECT OUR DEMOCRACY. THESE BILLS INCLUDED THE COLORADO OPTIONTO HELP CONTROL HEALTH CARE COSTS, THE PRESCRIPTION DRUG AFFORDABILITY BOARD BILL TO REDUCE THE COSTS OF PRESCRIPTION DRUGS, HOUSE BILLS 1311AND 1312 TO ENSURE TAX FAIRNESS AND CLOSE CORPORATE LOOPHOLES, AND SENATE BILL 57 TO REFORM PREDATORY PRIVATE STUDENT LOANS.
EDUCATING AND ENGAGING COLORADANS ON ECONOMIC SECURITY ISSUES. CENTENNIAL STATE PROSPERITY CARRIED OUT A CAMPAIGN TO HELP BOOST AWARENESS OF THE EFFORTS MADE BY THE LEGISLATURE AND GOVERNOR TO GET COLORADO ON THE ROAD TO RECOVERY FROM THE PANDEMIC. THE ORGANIZATION ALSO PUBLISHED A LEGISLATIVE SUMMARY REPORT TO HIGHLIGHT ALL OF THE BILLS THAT PASSED DURING THE 2021 LEGISLATIVE SESSION TO PROTECT HARDWORKING COLORADANS.
ENCOURAGING DEMOCRATIC PARTICIPATION. IN FALL 2021, CENTENNIAL STATE PROSPERITY SUPPORTED EFFORTS TO RESEARCH AND REACH OUT TO COMMUNITIES OF INTEREST THAT COULD BENEFIT FROM FAIRLY DRAWN LEGISLATIVE AND CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICT MAPS; AND ENCOURAGE CITIZENS AND CIVIC GROUPS, AS WELL AS SUBSTANTIVE EXPERTS, TO WEIGH IN ABOUT DISTRICT RESTRUCTURING.
