THE PURPOSE OF PROGRESSNOW NEW MEXICO EDUCATION FUND IS TO EDUCATE THE PUBLIC ON ISSUES OF PUBLIC CONCERN AND INCREASE VOTER PARTICIPATION IN FEDERAL, STATE, AND LOCAL ELECTIONS.

THE ORGANIZATION HAD A SUCCESSFUL YEAR WITH EDUCATIONAL CAMPAIGNS ON REPRODUCTIVE JUSTICE, ENVIRONMENTAL JUSTICE, AND VOTING RIGHTS. WE EDUCATED THE PUBLIC ABOUT WHAT REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH DECISIONS AT THE SCOTUS LEVEL MEANT FOR NEW MEXICANS, THE MIFE CASE AGAINST THE FDA, AND PROVIDED COMMUNICATIONS SUPPORT FOR REPRODUCTIVE HEALTHCARE PARTNERS. IN ENVIRONMENTAL JUSTICE WE PARTNERED WITH OTHER ENVIRONMENTAL PARTNERS TO FURTHER PUBLIC KNOWLEDGE ON THE HARMFUL EFFECTS OF BRINGING HYDROGEN TO OUR STATE, IMPLEMENTATION OF THE ETA, AND CONTINUED OUR CAMPAIGN TO EDUCATE ON THE ROLE THE OIL AND GAS INDUSTRY HAS IN NEW MEXICO POLITICS. WE PROVIDED MASSIVE PUBLIC EDUCATION LEADING UP TO THE NOVEMBER 2022 ELECTION ON WAYS THAT NEW MEXICANS CAN VOTE RANGING FROM EARLY VOTE TIMELINES, TO POLLING LOCATIONS, TO HOW TO REGISTER TO VOTE IF THEY AREN'T ALREADY.
