TO PROVIDE PREVENTION AND INTERVENTION SERVICES IN COLORADO WORKPLACES AND COMMUNITIES, FOCUSING ON SUBSTANCE USE AND RELATED ISSUES.

THE PEER HEALTH ASSISTANCE PROGRAM PROVIDES ASSESSMENT, REFERRAL TO TREATMENT, AND CASE MANAGEMENT FOR NURSES, DENTISTS, PHARMACISTS, VETERINARIANS, AND MENTAL HEALTH PROFESSIONALS WITH SUBSTANCE USE AND MENTAL HEALTH DISORDERS. CLIENTS WITH REHABILITATION CONTRACTS ARE MONITORED FOR COMPLIANCE AND SAFETY TO PRACTICE. PRACTICE CONCERNS ARE REPORTED TO THE STATE LICENSING BOARDS. THE PROGRAM IS FUNDED BY LICENSE FEES; CONTRACTED BY THE COLORADO DEPARTMENT OF REGULATORY AGENCIES.


THE EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICE PROVIDER PEER HEALTH ASSISTANCE PROGRAM PROVIDES ASSESSMENT, SHORT-TERM PROBLEM RESOLUTION, REFERRAL TO TREATMENT, AND CASE MANAGEMENT. THE PROGRAM IS FUNDED BY THE COLORADO DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC HEALTH AND ENVIRONMENT. COLORADO DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC HEALTH AND ENVIRONMENT PROVIDES FUNDING FOR SBIRT TRAINING AND TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE TO STAFF OF SCHOOL-BASED HEALTH CENTERS. SIGNAL BEHAVIORAL HEALTH FUNDS A WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT PROJECT TO PROVIDE EAP SERVICES TO SUBSTANCE USE TREATMENT PROVIDER.


THE COLORADO DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH CARE POLICY AND FINANCING FUNDED COMMUNITY BASED TRAINING ON SCREENING, BRIEF INTERVENTION, REFERRAL TO TREATMENT FOR MEDICAID AND OTHER PROVIDERS. THE PROGRAM ALSO FUNDED A PUBLIC AWARENESS CAMPAIGN FOCUSED ON REDUCING THE STIGMA OF SEEKING ASSISTANCE FOR SUBSTANCE USE RELATED ISSUES. THE PROGRAM IS FUNDED BY COLORADO MARIJUANA TAX CASH FUND.


SIGNAL BEHAVIORAL HEALTH NETWORK FUNDED IMPLEMENTATION OF SCREENING, BRIEF INTERVENTION, REFERRAL TO TREATMENT IN RURAL HEALTHCARE CLINICS IN LARIMER COUNTY, NORTHEAST AND SOUTHEAST COLORADO, AND SBIRT EXPANSION INTO SSPA 2 METRO DENVER. THE PROGRAM ALSO FUNDED A PUBLIC AWARENESS CAMPAIGN FOCUSED ON REDUCING THE STIGMA OF SEEKING ASSISTANCE FOR SUBSTANCE USE RELATED ISSUES. THE PROGRAM IS FUNDED BY COLORADO MARIJUANA TAX CASH FUND AS DESIGNATED FOR SUBSTANCE USE PREVENTION IN SENATE BILL 16-202.
