LA PLAZA BUILDS CONNECTIONS BETWEEN GRAND VALLEY FARM WORKERS, FARM OWNERS, AND COMMUNITY RESOURCE PROVIDERS TO POSITIVELY INFLUENCE THE HEALTH AND WELL-BEING OF OUR MIGRANT AND IMMIGRANT COMMUNITIES AND THEREBY THE FARMS, VINEYARDS, ORCHARDS, AND RANCHES WHERE THEY WORK. THROUGH EMPOWERMENT, ADVOCACY, AND COMMUNITY BUILDING AND FACILITATION OF SERVICES, WE ENSURE THAT OUR MEMBERS, MIGRANT AND IMMIGRANT FARM WORKERS AND THEIR FAMILIES, ARE ABLE TO EQUITABLY ACCESS AND BENEFIT FROM THE RESOURCES THAT MAKE THEIR LIVES BETTER. LA PLAZA PROVIDES ONSITE INTERPRETATION AND TRANSLATION SERVICES, ACCESS TO FOOD PANTRY AND COMMUNAL MEALS, REFERRALS TO COMMUNITY RESOURCES, EDUCATIONAL CLASSES, DIRECT EMERGENCY ASSISSTANCE, AND FACILITATION TO BASIC HEALTH CARE.
