SAFE SHELTER PROVIDES EMPOWERMENT THROUGH DIRECT SERICES AND COMMUNITY EDUCATION, ADVOCATING FOR THE RIGHT OF EVERY INDIVIDUAL TO LIVE A LIFE FREE OF INTIMIDATION, EXPLOITATION AND ABUSE. IN 2021, SAFE SHELTER PROVIDED DIRECT FACE-TO-FACE SERVICES ON COUNSELING, SAFETY PLANNING AND CASE MANAGEMENT TO 179 ADULTS AND 166 CHILDREN; RESPONDED TO 8,507 PHONE CALLS, INCLUDING CRISIS CALLS; SHELTERED 151 ADULTS AND CHILDREN FOR A TOTAL OF 3,917 NIGHTS; PROVIDED 154 INDIVIDUAL COUNSELING SESSIONS AND SERVED 56 CLIENTS IN GROUP SESSIONS; PROVIDED LEGAL SERVICES TO 137 CLIENTS TO HELP THEM NAVIGATE THE JUDICIAL SYSTEM AND OBTAINED PROTECTION ORDERS.
