PROJECT FIND: ADULT ADVOCACY CENTERS (AAC) IS FOCUSED ON CREATING A MULTI- DISCIPLINARY TEAM (MDT) WITH SKILL SETS IN LAW ENFORCEMENT, PROSECUTORS, MEDICAL STAFF, VICTIM ADVOCATES, FORENSIC INTERVIEWERS, AND MENTAL HEALTH SPECIALISTS. THE GOAL OF THE MDTS IS TO SERVE ADULTS WITH DISABILITIES WHO ARE ALLEGED VICTIMS OR WITNESSES OF ABUSE, MALTREATMENT, OR NEGLECT. IN THIS FIRST FEW MONTHS OF OPERATION, AAC'S STAFF HAS BEGUN TRAINING IN CREATION OF THE MDTS THROUGH COUNSELING PARTNERSHIPS WITH MODELL CONSULTING.
