IN ITS USUAL COURSE OF OPERATION, DUKE HAND SOCIETY HOSTS AN ANNUAL EDUCATIONAL SYMPOSIUM FOR ITS MEMBERS AND OTHER MEDICAL PROFESSIONALS. DUE TO COVID-IMPOSED RESTRICTIONS, BOTH THE MARCH 2020 AND MARCH 2021 CONFERENCES WERE CANCELLED. PLANS ARE IN PLACE TO HOLD THE SYMPOSIUM IN MARCH 2022.IN JUNE 2021, HOWEVER, DUKE HAND SOCIETY SPONSORED A SMALLER COVID-COMPLIANT EDUCATIONAL CONFERENCE INCLUDING RESIDENTS, FELLOWS AND FACULTY FROM DUKE AND FELLOWS AND FACULTY FROM CAROLINAS MEDICAL CENTER FROM CHARLOTTE.DUKE HAND SOCIETY DID NOT HAVE AN OPPORTUNITY TO SPONSOR FELLOWS AT OTHER CONFERENCES DUE TO THOSE CONFERENCES NOT OCCURRING.
