THE NATIONAL COMMISSION ON CERTIFICATION OF PHYSICIAN ASSISTANTS, INC. SERVED APPROXIMATELY 168,818 CANDIDATES. SERVICES INCLUDED FIRST TIME EXAM APPLICANTS, RECERTIFICATION FOR EXISTING APPLICANTS, AND CERTIFICATION OF ADDED QUALIFICATIONS FOR EXISTING CANDIDATES.NCCPA DEVELOPED A NEW ALTERNATIVE LONGITUDINAL, TAKE-AT-HOME RECERTIFICATION PROCESS, PANRE-LA, TO COMMENCE ADMINISTRATION BEGINNING IN 2023. THE NEW RECERTIFICATION PROCESS, PANRE-LA, INCORPORATES ELEMENTS OF A LONGITUDINAL ASSESSMENT AND IS DESIGNED TO HELP PAS IDENTIFY AND ADDRESS KNOWLEDGE GAPS IN CORE MEDICAL CONTENT.
