CME MEETINGS- HELD ONE VIRTUAL AND ONE IN-PERSON CME EVENT AVAILABLE TO ALL 4,500 NCAFP MEMBERS, AS WELL AS NON-MEMBERS IN NORTH CAROLINA AND ACROSS THE COUNTRY. THE TWO EVENTS ATTRACTED OVER 700 ATTENDEES AND PROVIDED 39 HOURS OF CONTINUING MEDICAL EDUCATION. ADDITIONALLY, THE NCAFP PROVIDED A VIRTUAL EVENT IN LATE MARCH 2021 WHICH TARGETED MEDICAL STUDENTS AND HAD 120 PARTICIPANTS. FINALLY, THE NCAFP PROVIDED VIRTUAL AND LIVE EDUCATION IN OTHER STATE CHAPTER MEETINGS, WHICH INCLUDED OVER 1,900 LEARNERS AND THREE LECTURE TOPICS.
MEMBER SERVICES- ADVOCATED ON BEHALF OF 4,500 MEMBERS FOR INCREASED INVESTMENT IN FAMILY MEDICINE WHICH INCLUDED CLOSING THE UNINSURED/UNDERINSURED COVERAGE GAP IN RURAL AREAS AND THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A FAMILY MEDICINE LOAN FORGIVENESS PILOT; ADVOCATED FOR LESS ADMINISTRATIVE BURDEN IN THE HEALTHCARE SYSTEM AND INCREASED PAYMENT RATES FOR PRIMARY CARE SERVICES; ADVOCATED ON BEHALF OF PRIMARY CARE THROUGHOUT THE ONGOING MEDICAID TRANSITION TO MANAGED CARE AND FOR THE FULL SCOPE OF FAMILY MEDICINE IN ADDRESSING BEHAVIORAL HEALTH; ADVOCATED ON BEHALF OF EMPLOYED FAMILY PHYSICIANS WITHIN LARGE HEALTH SYSTEMS AND AMONG PAYERS; AND SERVED ON NUMEROUS TASKFORCES AND POLICY GROUPS, ADVOCATING ON BEHALF OF FAMILY PHYSICIANS AND PATIENTS IN NORTH CAROLINA.
