HIGHER MEDICAL EDUCATION CONFERENCES AND WORKSHOPS: IHE AIMS TO DESIGN, DEVELOP, AND IMPLEMENT MEDICAL EDUCATION PROGRAMS THAT HAVE INDEPENDENT AND UNBIASED CONTENT THAT HELP HEALTH CARE PROFESSIONALS NAVIGATE THROUGH THE COMPLEXITIES OF NEW SCIENTIFIC DISCOVERIES IN ORDER TO PROVIDE BETTER CARE FOR THEIR PATIENTS AND MEMBERS OF THE MEDICAL COMMUNITY.CONTINUED MEDICAL EDUCATION ACCREDITATION FOR EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS: IHE IS DEDICATED TO DELIVERING THE HIGHEST LEVEL OF QUALITY IN CONTINUED MEDICAL EDUCATION (CME). ACCREDITATION COUNCIL FOR CONTINUING MEDICAL EDUCATION (ACCME) PROVIDES ACCREDITATION TO QUALITY CME ACTIVITIES THAT ARE PLANNED, IMPLEMENTED, AND EVALUATED ACCORDING TO ACCME GUIDELINES, CRITERIA AND STANDARDS. CME-ACCREDITED EVENTS ARE DESIGNED TO BE RELEVANT, PRACTICE-BASED, EFFECTIVE, AND INDEPENDENT OF COMMERCIAL BIAS. THIS PROGRAM WAS HELD VIRTUALLY IN DECEMBER. IHE IS DEDICATED TO EQUAL OPPORTUNITY AND ACCESS FOR ALL. ITS EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS. SPECIAL SCHOLARSHIPS WILL BE DEDICATED TO WOMEN, MINORITIES, AND DELEGATES FROM DEVELOPING AREAS. THROUGH GOVERNMENTAL GRANTS, PERSONAL DONATIONS AND FUNDRAISING, EACH EDUCATIONAL EVENT ORGANIZED BY IHE WILL HAVE A SELECT NUMBER OF SCHOLARSHIPS TO ENCOURAGE ATTENDANCE AND PARTICIPATION FROM UNDER-REPRESENTED DELEGATES.
