WE PROVIDE LEADERSHIP, PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT, ADVOCACY, AND COMMUNICATION SERVICES THAT ENCOURAGE GREATER CONSCIOUSNESS AND CULTURAL COMPETENCY IN OUR INTERACTIONS WITH TEACHERS, ADMINISTRATORS, ADULT LEARNERS, AND OUR PARTNERS. WE ARE COMMITTED TO USING OUR PLATFORM AND INFLUENCE TO CELEBRATE, ENGAGE WITH, AND LISTEN TO ALL ADULT EDUCATION COMMUNITIES AND DIVERSE VOICES OF OUR FIELD.

NATIONAL & STATE CONFERENCES - ADULT BASIC EDUCATION PROGRAMS ENGAGES IN INTENSIVE PLANNING AND CONDUCTS ANNUAL & MONTHLY WEBINARS AND SYMPOSIUMS FOR PRACTITIONERS WHO WISH TO UPGRADE THEIR SKILLS FOR TEACHING LITERACY TO ADULT STUDENTS. THIS IS A NATIONAL CONFERENCE WITH ATTENDANCE OF APROXIMATELY 2,500 - 3,500.
JOURNAL - ADULT BASIC EDUCATION PROGRAMS PUBLISHES TRIANNUALLY A SCHOLARLY JOURNAL WITH A PRACTICAL INTENT DEVOTED TO IMPROVING THE EFFORTS OF ADULT EDUCATORS WORKING WITH LOW LITERATE, EDUCATIONALLY DISADVANTAGED AND OPPRESSED ADULTS. ESTABLISHES AND MAINTAINS A COMPREHENSIVE WEBSITE TO PROVIDE INFORMATION AND TO COMMUNICATE MORE EFFICIENTLY WITH THE MEMBERSHIP. NATIONAL MEMBERSHIP HOLDS APPROXIMATELY 36,000 MEMBERS.
PARTNERSHIP BETWEEN GOOGLE AND COABE PROVIDING THE GOOGLE SCHOLARS PROGRAM TO ENABLE ADULT LEARNERS TO WORK THEIR WAY THROUGH ONE OF FIVE INDUSTRY DRIVEN CERTIFICATES. WE ALSO PROVIDED TWO SYMPOSIUMS WITH OVER 2,000 IN ATTENDANCE.
