EXECUTIVE LEADERSHIP PROGRAM:OVER THE COURSE OF A NINE-MONTH CURRICULUM, MOMENTUM DEVELOPS LEADERSHIP SKILLS, CONFIDENCE, AND CONNECTIONS AMONG ALABAMA'S MOST PROMISING WOMEN. CLASS MEMBERS PARTICIPATE IN 360 ASSESSMENT TESTING, DEVELOP A PERSONAL LEADERSHIP PLAN, AND COME TOGETHER FOR A LUNCHEON ORIENTATION, AN OVERNIGHT OPENING RETREAT, SEVEN FULL DAY SESSIONS, AND A CLOSING RETREAT AND GRADUATION CEREMONY. CLASS MEMBERS ARE ASSIGNED TO CO-MENTORING GROUPS, IN ORDER TO BUILD RELATIONSHIPS, SHARE IDEAS, AND HOLD ONE ANOTHER ACCOUNTABLE FOR PROGRESS ON THEIR PERSONAL PLAN. EACH PARTICIPANT IS ALSO GIVEN THE OPPORTUNITY TO BE PAIRED WITH SENIOR MENTORS WHO CAN OFFER ADVICE AND SUPPORT FOR CHALLENGES UNIQUE TO EACH INDIVIDUAL.
UPWARD LEADERSHIP PROGRAM:UPWARD IS DELIVERED IN HALF-DAY SESSIONS OVER A NINE-MONTH PERIOD FROM FEBRUARY TO OCTOBER. PROGRAM SESSIONS ARE INTERACTIVE, CLASSROOM-STYLE AND FACILITATED BY TRAINING PROFESSIONALS AND MOMENTUM ALUMNAE. IN BETWEEN SESSIONS, PARTICIPANTS WILL COMPLETE ASSIGNMENTS, MEET WITH THEIR CO-MENTORING GROUP, AND ENJOY NETWORKING OPPORTUNITIES WITH EXPERIENCED SENIOR LEADERS.
FOCUS PROGRAM 2021:AN ONLINE VIRTUAL EVENT FOR THE COMMUNITY AT LARGE. DUE TO THE COVID PANDEMIC, MOMENTUM HOSTED THE 2021 LEADERSHIP EVENT VIRTUALLY. WITH WAVE AFTER WAVE OF CONCERNING EVENTS IN THE NEWS AND LIFE-CHANGING ROUTINES IN THE WORKPLACE AND AT HOME, THE THEME FOR 2021 WAS FOCUS. THE ORGANIZATION TOOK THE HARD LESSONS LEARNED IN 2020 AND TURNED THE FOCUS TO INNOVATIVE TEAMWORK, CAREER CONTROL, WORK-LIFE MANAGEMENT, AND INCLUSIVE CULTURE. WITH OVER 2,000 REGISTRATIONS, THE VIRTUAL EVENT HAD FOUR-TIMES THE REACH OF THE TRADITIONAL IN-PERSON COMMUNITY BREAKFAST.
