LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE:MOMENTUM WILL CELEBRATE 20 YEARS OF ADVANCING WOMEN IN LEADERSHIP AT OUR BIENNIAL CONFERENCE, MARCH 16-17, 2022 AT THE BIRMINGHAM JEFFERSON CIVIC CENTER!OUR 2020 CONFERENCE WAS THE LAST EVENT IN BIRMINGHAM BEFORE THE PANDEMIC SHUTDOWN.THE FACT IS, COVID HAS TAKEN AN UNPRECEDENTED TOLL ON WORKING WOMEN. MANY FOUND THEMSELVES EDUCATING CHILDREN, TAKING EXTRAORDINARY PRECAUTIONS WITH PARENTS, AND CARRYING A HEAVY LOAD FOR CARE DURING THE PANDEMIC. THE RESULT? TAKING ON FEWER RESPONSIBILITIES AT WORK, TURNING DOWN CAREER-ADVANCING PROJECTS, OR LEAVING THEIR POSITIONS ENTIRELY.MOMENTUM WILL UTILIZE OUR CONFERENCE PLATFORM TO REINVIGORATE, INFORM, AND INSPIRE WOMEN IN ALABAMA TO DRAW ON EVERY OUNCE OF RESILIENCE TO LEAD THROUGH THESE DIFFICULT TIMES. EXECUTIVE PROGRAM BIRMINGHAM:OVER THE COURSE OF A NINE-MONTH CURRICULUM, MOMENTUM DEVELOPS LEADERSHIP SKILLS, CONFIDENCE, AND CONNECTIONS AMONG ALABAMA'S MOST PROMISING WOMEN. CLASS MEMBERS PARTICIPATE IN 360 ASSESSMENTS TESTING, DEVELOP A PERSONAL LEADERSHIP PLAN, RECEIVE EXECUTIVE COACHING, AND ATTEND MONTHLY SESSIONS LED BY NATIONALLY KNOWN FACILITATORS, EXPERTS, AUTHORS, AND PSYCHOLOGISTS, AS WELL AS LOCAL LEADERS.
UPWARD EARLY CAREER:MOMENTUM'S UPWARD PROGRAM IS TARGETED TO EARLY-CAREER WOMEN. THE PROGRAM LEVERAGES MOMENTUM'S EXPERTISE AND ALUMNAE NETWORK TO DEVELOP THE NEXT GENERATION OF TALENTED LEADERSHIP.UPWARD IS DELIVERED IN HALF-DAY SESSIONS OVER A NINE-MONTH PERIOD FROM FEBRUARY TO OCTOBER. PROGRAM SESSIONS ARE INTERACTIVE, CLASSROOM-STYLE AND FACILITATED BY TRAINING PROFESSIONALS AND MOMENTUM ALUMNAE. IN BETWEEN SESSIONS, PARTICIPANTS WILL COMPLETE ASSIGNMENTS, MEET WITH THEIR CO-MENTORING GROUP, AND ENJOY NETWORKING OPPORTUNITIES WITH EXPERIENCED SENIOR LEADERS.
