THE HIGH SCHOOL BBQ COOKERS ASSOCIATION IS A NON PROFIT 501(C)(3) EDUCATIONAL ORGANIZATION CREATED TO PROMOTE AND SANCTION EDUCATIONAL EXTRACURRICULAR COOK OFFS WHILE PROMOTING AND PRESERVING BBQ AND GRILLING EDUCATION. THIS IS DONE THROUGH STATE HIGH SCHOOL BBQ CHAMPIONSHIPS, REGIONAL STATE COOK OFFS, HIGH SCHOOL BBQ CLUBS, AND VARIOUS COMMUNITY AND YOUTH-ORIENTED PROGRAMS AND BBQ/GRILLING EVENTS TO SUPPORT CAREER AND TECHNICAL EDUCATION (CTE) IN THE NATION'S CLASSROOMS. THE HIGH SCHOOL BBQ COOKERS ASSOCIATION GOAL IS TO ENRICH THE LIVES OF OUR STUDENT COOKERS THROUGH BBQ CLUBS AND COOK OFFS, PROMOTING FAMILY VALUES, LIFE SKILLS, CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT, AND LEADERSHIP THROUGH EDUCATIONAL EVENTS THAT PROVIDE SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES. WE ESTABLISH STRICT GUIDE LINES AND ACADEMIC STANDARDS THAT ALLOW OUR STUDENT COOKS TO EXCEL IN THE CLASSROOM AND IN THEIR COMMUNITY WHILE ACHIEVING THEIR EDUCATIONAL GOALS AND DREAMS.
