TO PROVIDE SUPPORT, EDUCATION AND OUTREACH OPPORTUNITIES RELATED TO THE PETROLEUM INDUSTRY, DEVELOP AND ADVANCE QUALIFTY OF LIFE INITIATIVES, AND PROMOTE AND ENHANCE THE CONSERVATION HERITAGE OF NORTH DAKOTA.

THE NDPF CONTINUED ITS EDUCATION PROGRAMS, WHICH INCLUDED HOSTING 40 TEACHERS FOR A TEACHER EDUCATION SEMINAR. THIS SEMINAR PROVIDES TEACHERS WITH INFORMATION ABOUT THE OIL AND GAS INDUSTRY AND HOW PHYSICS, GEOLOGY, MATH, SCIENCE AND THE TRADES ARE USED. TEACHERS ALSO RECEIVE HANDS-ON ACTIVITIES AND LESSONS THAT THEY CAN TAKE BACK TO THE CLASSROOM. THE NDPF ALSO PARTNERED WITH OTHER ORGANIZATIONS TO HOST "TOOL TRADES TORQUE TECH (T4) SUMMITS. IN 2023, THESE SUMMITS BROUGHT MORE THAN 10,000 STUDENTS FROM NORTH DAKOTA TO PARTICIPATE IN HANDS-ON ACTIVITIES AND DEMONSTRATIONS RELATED TO THE ENERGY INDUSTRIES AND SKILLED TRADES.THE NDPF'S OUTREACH EFFORTS INCLUDED HOSTING COMMUNITY EVENTS AND PARTNERING WITH OTHER NONPROFIT ORGANIZATIONS INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, MULE DEER FOUNDATION AND DREAM CENTER BISMARCK. WORK CONTINUED ON THE NDPF'S OIL AND GAS HISTORY PROJECT IN NORTH DAKOTA.
PLANTING FOR THE FUTURE: THROUGH ITS PLANTING FOR THE FUTURE PROGRAM, THE NORTH DAKOTA PETROLEUM FOUNDATION PLANTED MORE THAN 165,000 TREES FOR CONSERVATION AND HABITAT. THIS BRINGS THE TOTAL NUMBER OF TREES PLANTED SINCE 2018 TO OVER HALF A MILLION TREES.
