THE MISSION OF COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT, INC IS SUMMED UP IN ITS MOTTO "BUILDING HOMES BUILDING PEOPLE". FOR CDI, THIS ENCOMPASSES PROVIDING LOW INCOME AND HOMELESS PERSONS, POTENTIALLY HOMELESS PERSONS OR OTHERWISE DIEADVANTAGED PERSONS WITH HOUSING FACILITIES AND EDUCATIONAL AND SUPPORTIVE SERVICES BY (1) CONSTRUCTING PROGRAMS WHICH WILL PROMOTE THE PROVISION OF DECENT HOUSING AFFORDABLE TO LOW-INCOME PERSONS. (2) MOBILIZING PUBLIC AND PRIVATE RESOURCES IN SUPPORT OF ANTI-POVERTY PROGRAMS; AND (3) INVOLVING THE LOW-INCOME IN DEVELOPING AND CARRYING OUT ANTI-POVERTY PROGRAMS.
