ST. VINCENT HEALTHCARE FOUNDATION SUPPORTS A WIDE VARIETY OF ST. VINCENT HEALTHCARE SERVICES, OUTREACH PROGRAMS, AND COMMUNITY-BASED ORGANIZATIONS ALL FOCUSED ON ACCOMPLISHING OUR MISSION OF IMPROVING THE HEALTH OF THE PEOPLE AND COMMUNITIES WE SERVE, ESPECIALLY THOSE WHO ARE POOR AND VULNERABLE.THE FOUNDATION WORKS WITH THE HOSPITAL TO SUPPORT THE MONTANA PEDIATRICS PROJECT AND FOUNDED MONTANA'S FIRST PICU STAFFED 24/7 BY BOARD CERTIFIED PEDIATRIC INTENSIVISTS. THAT MEANS THAT NO MATTER THE TIME OF DAY OR NIGHT, A CRITICAL CARE SPECIALIST IS READY TO HELP YOUR CHILD. OUR DEDICATED PICU STAFF ALSO UTILIZE ELECTRONIC RECORDS AND TELEMEDICINE TO ADVISE PEDIATRICIANS THROUGHOUT THE REGION ON THE BEST COURSE OF TREATMENT FOR CHILDREN IN NEED OF CRITICAL CARE. THE FOUNDATION GRANTS DIVISION APPLIES FOR AND ADMINISTERS FEDERAL AND STATE GRANTS THAT OPERATE OUT OF THE HOSPITAL. THE GRANTS HAVE HELPED WITH TELEMEDICINE, ELDER CARE, PEDIATRICS, TRAINING AND OTHER PROGRAMS. ST. VINCENT FOUNDATION PROVIDES AND MANAGES THE FOLLOWING GRANT FUNDS IN SUPPORT OF THE HEALTHCARE NEEDS OF THE COMMUNITY.MT PEDIATRICS PROJECT ENDOWMENTTO PROVIDE SUPPORT FOR THE MONTANA PEDIATRIC PROJECT, WHICH INCLUDES BUT IS NOT LIMITED TO: ASSISTANCE TO FAMILIES WITH HOSPITALIZED CHILDREN, THE COST OF NECESSARY EQUIPMENT, TRANSPORTATION, LODGING, PEDIATRIC INTENSIVE CARE TRAINING, OUTREACH, AND THE REMODELING NEEDS OF THE PEDIATRIC INTENSIVE CARE UNIT.PEDIATRIC SURGEON - F MARS GIFTDESIGNATED FOR RECRUITMENT AND FUNDING OF FORMING THE PEDIATRIC SURGEON PROGRAM INCLUDING SALARY AND OTHER OPERATIONAL COSTS FOR THE PROGRAM.NELLES NURSES SCHOLARSHIP ENDOWMENTFOR THE FURTHERING EDUCATION OF INDIVIDUALS IN THE NURSING PROFESSION.MOTHER / NEWBORN OBSTETRICSDESIGNATED FOR THE LABOR AND DELIVER AND MOTHER/NEWBORN AREA OF THE HOSPITAL. FUNDS WILL PROVIDE UPDATED INFRASTRUCTURE AND EQUIPMENT FOR BIRTHING SUITES AND PATIENT ROOMS.BUILDING CAPITAL FUNDFUNDS DESIGNATED TO SUPPORT CAPITAL BUILDING REQUESTS FROM ST VINCENT HEALTHCARE.SPIRITUAL CARE ENDOWMENTTO PROVIDE OPERATIONAL SUPPORT FOR EXPENSES INCURRED THROUGH THE SPIRITUAL CARE DEPARTMENT INCLUDING STAFF SALARIES.MEADOWLARK HOUSETHE MEADOWLARK HOUSE PROVIDES FREE HOUSING FOR CANCER PATIENTS UNDERGOING CANCER TREATMENT 4 OR MORE DAYS A WEEK. JOHNSON MEDICAL SCHOLARSHIP ENDOWMENTTO ADVANCE RURAL MEDICINE BY PROVIDING SCHOLARSHIPS TO EDUCATE AND TRAIN MEDICAL STUDENTS OR MEDICAL RESIDENTS FROM MONTANA WHO ARE PURSUING FAMILY PRACTICE MEDICINE AND/OR ORTHOPEDIC MEDICINE AND HAVE A STRONG COMMITMENT TO SERVING RURAL COMMUNITIES.MT PEDIATRICS PROJECT - PICUTO FINANCIALLY SUPPORT THE PEDIATRIC INTENSIVE CARE UNIT AT ST VINCENT HEALTHCARE AS NEEDS ARE IDENTIFIED. USED FOR EQUIPMENT, STAFF DEVELOPMENT, TRAINING, OUTREACH, AND REMODELING NEEDS.EMPLOYEE ASSISTANCE FUNDESTABLISHED THROUGH OUR CARING SPIRIT CAMPAIGN, FUNDS ARE USED TO SUPPORT ASSOCIATES EXPERIENCING A CRISIS EVENT IN THEIR LIFE. APPLICANTS MUST BE EMPLOYED WITH ST VINCENT FOR 6 MONTHS OR MORE TO BE ELIGIBLE AND APPLICATIONS ARE VETTED THROUGH THE CARING SPIRIT LEADERSHIP COMMITTEE.
