MOBILIZATION AND ADVOCACY: TEARFUND USA HOSTED PASTOR AND LEADER GATHERINGS TO EXPLORE THEMES OF JUSTICE AND ACTION AROUND GENDER EQUITY, RACIAL EQUALITY, AND CLIMATE JUSTICE. THIS INVOLVED EVENTS WITH 20+ CHURCHES INVITING LEADERS TO TAKE FURTHER ACTION WITH STUDIES, SIGNING PETITIONS, AND CONFERENCES. THE ORGANIZATION ALSO HOSTED THE JUSTICE CONFERENCE 2022 IN DENVER, COLORADO. THIS BROUGHT TOGETHER 440 INDIVIDUALS ON SIMILAR THEMES AND FOR SPIRITUAL RENEWAL. ADDITIONALLY, TEARFUND USA SENT A BOARD DIRECTOR AND CHURCH PARTNER TO JOIN A GLOBAL CLIMATE FORUM IN KENYA. TEARFUND USA ALSO LAUNCHED THE LIVE JUSTLY CURRICULUM VIA HARDCOPY AND E-BOOK, MAKING IT BROADLY AVAILABLE TO CHURCHES AND INDIVIDUALS.
CHURCH AND COMMUNITY TRANSFORMATION (CCT): IN PARTNERSHIP WITH TEARFUND (UK) AND OTHER NGOS, THE ORGANIZATION SUPPORTED CHURCH MOBILIZATION AND COMMUNITY TRANSFORMATION INITIATIVES IN CENTRAL AMERICA AND MALAWI. IN CENTRAL AMERICA, 1030 PEOPLE WERE REACHED AND 412 CHURCHES ENGAGED. IN MALAWI, 6 THEOLOGICAL COLLEGES AND 26 FACILITATORS WERE TRAINED, AND 704 CHURCHES ENGAGED. THE ORGANIZATION ALSO COLLABORATED ON A TRAINING FOR ANOTHER GLOBAL NGO, WHICH TOOK PLACE FOR THEIR FIELD STAFF AND PARTNERS IN KENYA; TRAINED ANOTHER NGO IN CAMBODIA; AND SUPPORTED CHURCH AND COMMUNITY TRANSFORMATION IN ASIA. TEARFUND USA'S GRANT ACTIVITY SUPPORTS THESE ACTIVITIES AROUND THE WORLD.
CONFLICT, CRISIS AND REFUGEES: THE ORGANIZATION MOBILIZED FINANCIAL SUPPORT IN RESPONSE TO KEY GLOBAL HUMANITARIAN EVENTS. THIS INCLUDED PARTNERING WITH ANOTHER NGO TO RAISE SUPPORT FOR UKRAINE; FUNDING HURRICANE RESPONSE IN PUERTO RICO; MOBILIZING SUPPORT FOR THE EARTHQUAKE IN TURKEY AND SYRIA, FLOODING IN PAKISTAN, ONGOING CRISES IN LEBANON, YEMEN, AND EAST AFRICA; AND MOBILIZING SUPPORT FOR PEACE IN THE DRC.
