REFUGEE WOMEN RISING CONTINUALLY WORKS TO SERVE THE IMMEDIATE AND CHANGING NEEDS OF REFUGEES IN OMAHA. OUR FOCUS ON OUTREACH TO AND EDUCATION OF WOMEN IS PARAMOUNT TO SUPPORTING REFUGEE FAMILIES. WITH THE EXTREME DIVERSITY OF LANGUAGE & CULTURE, WE STRIVE TO FIND CREATIVE AND CULTURALLY APPROPRIATE WAYS TO SERVE.
AT EACH HOMEDISH EVENT, GUEST CHEFS PREPARE TRADITIONAL FOODS FROM THEIR HOMELAND AND SHARE STORIES OF THEIR REFUGEE EXPERIENCE WITH ATTENDEES. THROUGH CUISINE AND CONVERSATION, WE CREATE UNDERSTANDING, BUILD RELATIONSHIPS, AND STRENGTHEN THE LIVELIHOODS OF REFUGEE WOMEN IN OMAHA.
