COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT - THROUGH THE CREATION OF A COMMUNITY AND FAMILY ENGAGEMENT ARM OF ITS WORK, K1C AIMS TO ACTIVATE FAMILIES WITH THE INFORMATION TO MAKE THE BEST CHOICES FOR THEIR CHILDREN'S EDUCATION AND TO HELP SHAPE EDUCATION POLICY TO BETTER SERVE ALL OF CHICAGO'S PK-12 PUBLIC SCHOOL CHILDREN.K1C PARTNERS WITH FAMILIES TO GAIN THE RESOURCES, INFORMATION, ACCESS, AND VOICE THEY NEED TO ACHIEVE THEIR VISION FOR THEIR CHILDREN.
