THE SOUTH JONES HIGH SCHOOL BAND PARENT ASSOCIATION PROVIDES FINANCIAL SUPPORT TO THE 230 STUDENTS IN THE SOUTH JONES BAND PROGRAM BY HELPING TO OFFSET THE COSTS OF THE PROGRAM THAT CANNOT BE COVERED BY THE SCHOOL DISTRICT SO THE STUDENTS CAN BECOME BETTER MUSICIANS, PERFORMERS, AND HAVE OPPORTUNITIES IN VARIOUS LEADERSHIP ROLES WITHIN THE BAND PROGRAM AND THROUGH COMPETITIONS AND BAND CLINICS. THE FINANCIAL SUPPORT GIVEN PROVIDED COMPETITION EXPERIENCE AND EXPOSURE IN MARCHING BAND, INDOOR WINDS GROUPS, INDOOR PERCUSSION GROUPS, COLORGUARD GROUPS, AUDITION EXPOSURE, AND INDIVIDUAL PERFORMANCE OPPORTUNITIES. THE SUPPORT GIVEN PROVIDED FOR UNIFORM COSTS, EQUIPMENT REPAIR, MUSIC PURCHASE, COVID RELATED EXPENSES, DRILL COORDINATES AND MATERIAL FOR ALL SHOWS, REGISTRATION FEES FOR GROUPS, AND ASSOCIATION FEES FOR THE BAND PROGRAM. THE ASSISTANCE IN THESE AREAS ALLOWED FOR A MORE ENRICHING PROGRAM FOR THE SOUTH JONES BAND STUDENTS. THE PROGRAM WON 1ST PLACE AT STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS FOR MARCHING. RECEIVED SUPERIOR RATING IN CONCERT AND WIND ENSEMBLES. THE PROGRAM PLACED 1ST PLACE IN STATE INDOOR WINDS COMPETITION.
