FUNGAL DIVERSITY SURVEY EQUIPS COMMUNITY SCIENTISTS WITH THE REPORTING TOOLS TO DOCUMENT, SEQUENCE AND VOUCHER THE DIVERSITY AND DISTRIBUTION OF FUNGI ACROSS NORTH AMERICA. WE HAVE ESTABLISHED 350 COMMUNITY SCIENCE PROJECTS, INVOLVING AT LEAST 3,000 PARTICIPANTS.
CALIFORNIA BIODIVERSITY SURVEY OF FUNGI AND THREATENED HABITAT, WITH SEQUENCING AND DETAILED COLLECTION DATA, AND ACCESSION OF ALL SPECIMENS. THREE-YEAR GOAL TO ASSESS THE TOTAL CALIFORNIA FUNGI AND BEGIN TO TRACK CHANGES DUE TO CLIMATE CHANGE AND OTHER FACTORS.
FUNGAL DIVERSITY SURVEY ENLISTS COMMUNITY SCIENTISTS TO WORK TOWARDS FUNGAL CONSERVATION BY BUILDING A FUNGAL DIVERSITY DATABASE AND DOCUMENTING RARE AND THREATENED FUNGI IN RARE FUNGI CHALLENGES.
