RUNNER'S REFUGE IS A COMPASSIONATE MINISTRY DEDICATED TO REACHING PEOPLE IN CRISIS WITH THE LOVE OF JESUS CHRIST THROUGH BIBLICAL HOSPITALITY, PRAYER, AND SITUATIONAL INTERVENTIONS. WE DO THIS BY SERVING THE HOMELESS, REACHING FAMILIES IN IMPOVERISHED AREAS, AND THROUGH LONG-TERM DISASTER RECOVERY PROGRAMS.

HOMELESS COMMUNITY SERVICES RUNNER'S REFUGE MINISTRIES EXISTS PRIMARILY AS A HOMELESS SERVICES AND CRISIS RESPONSE ORGANIZATION. IN KEEPING WITH OUR STAED MISSION, WE SERVED 235,000 HOT MEALS TO HOMELESS INDIVIDUALS, SERVED OVER 15,000 MEALS IN DISASTER OR CRISIS RESPONSE, ASSISTED THE TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT WITH PROVIDING 5,500 MEALS IN RESPONSE TO THE BORDER CRISIS, AND SERVED OVER 3,500 HOT MEALS TO 1ST RESPONDERS AND BLOOD DONORS IN RESPONSE TO THE EL PASO WAL-MART SHOOTING. WE DELIVERED 5,000 POUNDS OF FOOD AND SUPPLIES TO PLEASANT HILLS CHILDREN'S HOME AND PROVIDED OVER 15,000 POUNDS OF SHELF STABLE FOODS TO IMPOVERISHED FAMILIES IN 2019. RUNNER'S REFUGE MINISTRIES PURCHASED PROPERTY IN FORT WORTH TO EXPAND OUR FOOTPRINT ON THE FORT WRTH'S NEAR EAST SIDE AND WILL BE USED FOR OUTREACH TO THE HOMELESS AND IMPOVERISHED COMMUNITIES OF DALLAS AND FORT WORTH. RUNNER'S REFUGE MINISTRIES PROVIDED ASSISTANCE TO 28 INDIVIDUALS TO SECURE MISSING VITAL REORDS, PROVIDED NOTARY SERVICES, AND NECESSARY TRANSPORTATION. WE ASSISTED 13 WOMEN AND 3 MEN OFF THE STREET THROUGH OUR FIRST STEPS PRPGRAM. RUNNER'S REFUGE BUILT AND OPERATES 2 MOBILE COMMERCIAL KITCHEN TRAILERS AND SERVES HOT MEALS WEEKLY FROM THOSE KITCHENS.IN 2020, RUNNER'S REFUGE MINISTRIES SERVED OVER 184,000 HOT MEALS TO THE HOMELESS AND OVER 29,132 HOT MEALS DURING DISASTERS AND CRISIS RESPONSES; PLUS SERVED OVER 2,000 HOT MEALS BORDER CRISIS; OVER 5,000 AT THE PLEASANT HILLS CHILDREN'S HOME; OVER 15,000 HOT MEALS TO THE IMPOVERISHED FAMILIES. WE ASSISSTED 16 WOMEN AND 8 MEN OFF THE STREETS THROUGH OUR FIRST STEPS PROGRAM.RUNNER'S REFUGE ALSO ADDED SHOWERS TO THE FACILITIES TO ASSIST THE HOMELESS, WHO PARTICIPATED IN OVER 5,280 SERVICES FOR THEM.
