THE BIKE BUILD IS AN ANNUAL EVENT WHERE THE FOUNDATION OBTAINS, ASSEMBLES AND DISTRIBUTES BICYCLES TO DISADVANTAGED CHILDREN THROUGH THE CALIFORNIA HIGHWAY PATROL'S CHIPS 4 KIDS PROGRAM. THIS ACTIVITY IS CONDUCTED BY MANY VOLUNTEERS TO ASSEMBLE THE BICYCLES IN A DAYLONG EVENT AT ANRAK'S YARD IN SACRAMENTO. ONCE ASSEMBLED, THE BICYCLES ARE TRANSPORTED TO CAL EXPO AND GIVEN TO THE CHIPS 4 KIDS TO DISTRIBUTE. THE BIKE BUILD IS THE MAJOR ACTIVITY OF THE FOUNDATION AND MOST OF THE TIME IS SPENT ON THIS ACTIVITY. THE ACTIVITY IS SUPPORTED BY DONATIONS FROM INDIVIDUALS AND BUSINESSES. DUE TO THE COVID19 PANDEMIC IN 2021, THE ANNUAL BIKE BUILD DID NOT TAKE PLACE BUT WILL CONTINUE TO DO SO IN FOLLOWING YEARS. IN LIEU OF THE BIKE DRIVE, ANRAK CHARITABLE FOUNDATION PURCHASED GIFTS AND PROVIDED DONATIONS TO CHIPS 4 KIDS AND OTHER CHARITABLE ORGANIZATIONS.
