EDUCATION -WE OFFER EDUCATIONAL WORKSHOPS AND EVENTS AND FACILITATE ONGOING STUDY GROUPS EXPLORING THE THEORY AND PRACTICE OF WHAT IT MEANS TO CREATE A SOLIDARITY ECONOMY. WE PROMOTE EDUCATION ABOUT AND PARTICIPATE IN THE WIYOT HONOR TAX.
FOOD PROGRAM - ACCESS TO NUTRITIOUS AND CULTURALLY APPROPRIATE FOOD IS A HUMAN RIGHT. WE WORK TO CREATE A WORLD WHERE NONE WILL EVER GO HUNGRY DUE TO LACK OF WEALTH OR INCOME. OUR GOAL IS TO RETURN HUMBOLDT COUNTY TO REGENERATIVE, LIFE SUSTAINING FOOD FOREST AND ECOLOGICAL HAVEN THAT ONCE WAS. PROJECTS INCLUDE LITTLE FREE PANTRIES, FOOD NOT LAWNS, COMMUNITY FRUIT TREES, MINI GARDENS, COMMUNITY GARDEN AND FOOD GUIDE.
CARE AND WELLNESS - WE BELIEVE HEALTH, WELLNESS AND CARE ARE FUNDAMENTAL HUMAN RIGHTS. OUR TEAM INSPIRES TRANSFORMATION BY CREATING EDUCATION, SERVICES, AND COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIPS THAT REMOVE THE PROFIT MOTIVES OF TRADITIONAL HEALTHCARE. THIS MISSION EMPOERS PEOPLE TO CARE FOR OTHERS AND ACTIVELY PARTICIPATE IN THEIR OWN WELL BEING. OUR COMMUNITY HEALTH WORKER CHW COLLABORATIVE BUILD INDEPENDENT. CHW GROUPS WITH CHRONICALLY UNDERSERVED POPULATIONS IN HUMBOLDT, DEL NORTE, AND TRINITYU COUNTIES. THE COLLABORATIVE PROVIDES MENTORSHIP FOR NEW CHW GROUPS, LEADERSHIP SUPPORT FOR ESTABLISHED INDEPENDENT CHW, AND SERVE FOR PEOPLE IN NEED THROUGH COLLABORATIVE PARTNERS.
