THE CARMEL VALLEY MANOR FOUNDATION MANAGES THE CARMEL VALLEY MANOR INVESTMENT FUND. CARMEL VALLEY MANOR FOUNDATION IS TO BUILD AND MAINTAIN AN ADEQUATE LEVEL OF UNRESTRICTED NET ASSETS TO SUPPORT CARMEL VALLEY MANOR IN THE EVENT OF UNFORESEEN SHORTFALLS. THIS RESERVE FUND MAY ALSO BE USED FOR ONE-TIME, NONRECURRING EXPENSES THAT WILL BUILD LONG-TERM CAPACITY, SUCH AS STAFF DEVELOPMENT, RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT, OR INVESTMENT IN INFRASTRUCTURE. THE CARMEL VALLEY MANOR FOUNDATION HAS AN INVESTMENT POLICY WHOSE OBJECTIVE IS LONG-TERM GROWTH AND PRESERVATION OF CAPITAL. THE CARMEL VALLEY MANOR FOUNDATION INVESTMENT COMMITTEE FORMULATES THE OVERALL INVESTMENT STRATEGY AND MONITORS AND EVALUATES THE PERFORMANCE RESULTS FOR COMPLIANCE WITH THE INVESTMENT POLICY.
