THE INTERNATIONAL CELLO INSTITUTE (ICI) IS A UNIQUE, THREE-WEEK SUMMER PROGRAM THAT CREATES A CLOSE COMMUNITY FOR ADVANCED HIGH SCHOOL AND COLLEGIATE CELLISTS TO WORK ALONGSIDE WELL-KNOWN CELLO PEDAGOGUES AND TOP-NOTCH COLLABORATIVE PIANISTS. UNTIL 2020 WHEN ALL THE PROGRAMMING WAS VIRTUAL, TYPICALLY IT'S HELD ON THE BEAUTIFUL CAMPUS OF ST. OLAF COLLEGE IN NORTHFIELD, MINNESOTA, ICI PROVIDES AN INTENSIVE PROGRAM , FOSTERING A NURTURING ENVIRONMENT FOR CELLISTS TO GROW IN KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND PASSION. IN ADDITION TO AN IN-DEPTH STUDY AND MULTIPLE PERFORMANCE OPPORTUNITIES ON CAMPUS AND IN THE GREATER NORTHFIELD COMMUNITY, STUDENTS GET PRIORITY SEATING AT OUR 3-CONCERT FACULTY ARTIST SERIES CALLED CELLOICI WHICH TAKES PLACE IN MINNEAPOLIS AND DRAWS A FULL AUDIENCE FROM THE GREATER TWIN CITIES.
