TO ACCEPT, ACQUIRE, LEASE, HOLD, DEVELOP, OPERATE, MANAGE, SELL, TRANSFER AND OTHERWISE DEAL IN REAL ESTATE FOR FUTHERANCE OF THE PURPOSES OF THE UW-PLATTEVILLE FOUNDATION, INC.

THE REAL ESTATE FOUNDATION MANAGED THE DEVELOPMENT OF A RESIDENCE HALL, ROUNTREE COMMONS, WHICH WAS PUT INTO USE AT THE END OF AUGUST 2012. THE REAL ESTATE FOUNDATION CONTRACTED A THIRD PARTY TO MANAGE THE DAILY OPERATIONS OF ROUNTREE COMMONS AFTER CONSTRUCTION WAS COMPLETED. A SECOND RESIDENCE HALL, BRIDGEWAY COMMONS, WAS CONSTRUCTED AND PUT INTO USE IN AUGUST 2013. THE REAL ESTATE FOUNDATION LEASED BRIDGEWAY COMMONS TO THE UNIVERSITY OF WISCONSIN - PLATTEVILLE AND ALL DAILY OPERATIONS OF THE RESIDENCE HALL ARE MANAGED BY THE UNIVERSITY. BOTH BUILDINGS SUPPORT THE ACTIVITIES OF UW-PLATTEVILLE PRIMARILY AS HOUSING. THE OPERATIONS ALSO INCLUDE FOOD SERVICES AND PARKING. THE REAL ESTATE FOUNDATION RENTS SPACE TO THE UNIVERSITY IN ROUNTREE COMMONS FOR A SMALL CAFE AND A SMALL PARKING LOT. DURING THE SUMMER MONTHS, ROUNTREE COMMONS ALSO PROVIDES HOUSING FOR CAMPS AND CONFERENCES SPONSORED BY THE UNIVERSITY.
