ANNUAL NATIONAL CONFERENCE: FOR NEARLY TWO DECADES, THE SABA NORTH AMERICA CONFERENCE HAS BEEN THE PREMIER PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT AND NETWORKING EVENT FOR SOUTH ASIAN LAWYERS IN NORTH AMERICA. BRINGING TOGETHER ATTENDEES FROM ACROSS NORTH AMERICA, EACH CONFERENCE INCLUDES DAYS OF ACTIVITIES RANGING FROM PROFESSIONAL AND NETWORKING DEVELOPMENT, CULTURAL ENGAGEMENT AND CELEBRATION, TO SUBSTANTIVE LEGAL PROGRAMMING. OUR CONFERENCE PRESENTS A UNIQUE OPPORTUNITY TO RAISE A MEMBERS PROFILE WITHIN THE SOUTH ASIAN BAR, A GROUP THAT INCLUDES CORPORATE COUNSEL, LAW FIRM PARTNERS AND ASSOCIATES, FEDERAL, STATE, PROVINCIAL, AND APPELLATE JUDGES, LAW PROFESSORS, GOVERNMENT AND PUBLIC INTEREST ATTORNEYS, ENTREPRENEURS, AND LAW STUDENTS FROM ACROSS NORTH AMERICA AND BEYOND.

CORPORATE COUNCIL RETREAT: THE CORPORATE COUNSEL RETREAT BRINGS TOGETHER A SMALL GROUP OF MID TO SENIOR LEVEL IN HOUSE COUNSEL FOR A WEEKEND FOCUSED ON IN-PERSON PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT, NETWORKING, MENTORING, AND TEAM BUILDING. EDUCATIONAL SESSIONS ARE PRESENTED BY RETREAT FACULTY SELECTED FROM INFLUENTIAL INDUSTRY LEADERS AND PROMINENT SPONSOR REPRESENTATIVES WHO HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO SHOWCASE THEIR EXPERIENCE AND THOUGHT LEADERSHIP.
LOBBY WEEK: SINCE 2017, SABA HAS CONDUCTED A LOBBY WEEK THAT BRINGS SABA ATTORNEYS TO WASHINGTON, D.C., WHETHER VIRTUALLY OR IN-PERSON, TO MEET WITH CONGRESSIONAL MEMBERS AND DISCUSS PRESSING ISSUES TO SABA MEMBERS AND OUR COMMUNITY. LOBBY WEEK ALLOWS SABA TO AMPLIFY ITS VOICE ON BEHALF OF THE COMMUNITY, AND TO DEVELOP RELATIONSHIPS WITH POLITICAL LEADERS AND STAFF. PRIOR TO LOBBY WEEK, REGISTERED PARTICIPANTS ATTEND TRAINING SESSIONS TO GAIN A DEEPER UNDERSTANDING OF THE ISSUES AFFECTING THE SOUTH ASIAN COMMUNITY AND HOW TO COMMUNICATE THEM EFFECTIVELY TO CONGRESSIONAL OFFICES.
