MLHC HELD A SUCCESSFUL VIRTUAL EDUCATIONAL SYMPOSIUM ON AUGUST 7-8, 2020. THE MEETING INCLUDED A DIVERSE GROUP OF INVITED TALKS BY ESTABLISHED RESEARCHERS, VIRTUAL POSTER PRESENTATIONS, AND NETWORKING OPPORTUNITIES. THERE WERE 254 PEOPLE IN ATTENDANCE, MANY OF WHOM WERE STUDENTS. THE PROGRAM FOR THE MEETING CAN BE FOUND IN THE ATTACHED MLHC ANNUAL REPORT FOR 2020. THE REVENUE FOR THE MEETING WAS FROM ATTENDEE REGISTRATION FEES ($8,625) AND SPONSORSHIP FROM INDUSTRY PARTNERS ($30,000).THE MEETING COST $12,983 IN EXPENSES. AS DESCRIBED IN THE ORIGINAL 1023 APPLICATION, THE NET INCOME FROM THE 2020 MEETING WILL BE USED TO PROVIDE STUDENT SCHOLARSHIPS AND CHILDCARE OPPORTUNITIES TO THE 2021 MEETING ATTENDEES. MLHC ALSO INCURRED $11,850 IN ADMINISTRATIVE EXPENSES TO RUN THE 501(C)(3) THROUGHOUT THE YEAR.
