CARESTAR CONTINUED TO PROVIDE FUNDING TO IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF EMERGENCY AND PREHOSPITAL CARE PROVIDED IN CALIFORNIA, AND TO SUPPORT PROGRAMS WORKING TO STRENGTHEN CONNNECTIONS BETWEEN EMERGENCY MEDICAL SYSTEM PROVIDERS, HOSPITALS/TRAUMA CENTERS, AND COMMUNITY-BASEDORGANIZATIONS. PARTNERSHIPS AND SUPPORT INCLUDED COMMUNITY PARAMEDICINE PROGRAMS, HOSPITAL-BASED VIOLENCE INTERVENTION PROGRAMS, AND EMERGING APPROACHES TO AID RECOVERY FROM ALCOHOL AND OPIOID USE DISORDERS.
