Describe the Organization's Mission:
Part 3 - Line 1
PROVIDE FUNDS TO LOOK, ITS MY BOOK! INC (EIN 06-1834883), WHICH BUYS AND DISTRIBUTES BOOKS TO YOUNG CHILDREN, PRIMARILY BELOW THE POVERTY LEVEL, TO ENOURAGE LITERACY AMONG THOSE CHILDREN LEARNING TO READ.
Describe the Organization's Program Activity:
Part 3 - Line 4a
AS DESCRIBED IN PART I ABOVE, WORK HAS BEGUN TO ACCUMULATE A VIABLE PRINCIPAL TO PROVIDE FOR THE SUPPORT OF DISTRIBUTING BOOKS FOR CHILDREN LEARNING TO READ, PRINCIPALLY AMONG POVERTY LEVEL FAMILIES. PROVIDING BOOKS HAS PROVEN TO BE EFFECTIVE IN TEACHING YOUNG CHILDREN TO READ. AS OF THE END OF 2020, NO FUNDS HAVE BEEN EXPENDED YET TO SUPPORT THAT EFFORT; WE ARE TRYING TO BUILD A SUFFICIENT PRINCIPAL TO PROVIDE SUPPORT TO BUY BOOKS IN THE FUTURE WHEN VOLUNTEERS HAVE PASSED OR ARE TOO OLD TO WORK ON THE PROGRAMS OF BUYING AND DISTRIBUTING BOOKS AMONG THE SCHOOL SYSTEM. IT IS RECOGNIZED THAT, EVENTUALLY, A STAFF WILL BE NEEDED. IT IS THEREFORE NECESSARY THAT SUFFICIENT PRINCIPAL FUNDS BE ACCUMULATED THAT INTEREST AND INVESTMENTS WOULD PROVIDE VIABLE FUNDS TO SUPPORT THE PROGRAM.
