THE MISSOURI HEALTH PLAN ASSOCIATION ("MHPA") ENGAGES IN THE COLLECTION AND DISSEMINATION OF INFORMATION ABOUT ALTERNATIVE HEALTH CARE SYSTEMS WITHIN THE STATE OF MISSOURI ON A FREQUENT AND ONGOING BASIS. THESE ACTIVITIES INCLUDE ESTABLISHING POLICY COMMITTEES COMPRISED OF EMPLOYEES OF THE MEMBER HEALTH PLANS TO COMPILE INFORMATION FOR PUBLIC OFFICIALS AND THE PUBLIC REGARDING THE BENEFITS OF ALTERNATIVE CARE DELIVERY MODELS. MHPA CARRIES OUT THESE ACTIVITIES THROUGH OUTSIDE CONTRACTORS AND MHPA COMMITTEES POPULATED BY ITS MEMBERS.
