NEW YORK MILLS EDUCATION FOUNDATION RAISES MONEY FOR AND FUNDS GRANTS FOR VARIOUS ORGANIZATIONS IN THE NEW YORK MILLS PUBLIC SCHOOL.
CSC COMMITTEE IS AN ORGANIZATION MADE UP OF PARENTS, TEACHERS AND COMMUNITY MEMBERS TO HOST A CARNIVAL EVERY FALL RAISING FUNDS TO ENHANCE ELEMENTARY CLASSROOMS AND LEARNING. THESE FUNDS WERE ALSO HELD BY NEW YORK MILLS PUBLIC SCHOOL UNTIL THE FORMATION OF THE NYM EDUCATION FOUNDATION WAS IN PLACE. THEY ARE NOW MANAGED BY NYMEF. THESE FUNDS ARE TEMPERARLIY RESTRICTED TO BE USED MAINLY FOR THE CLASSROOMS BUT ANY UNUSED FUNDS BY EDUCATORS WILL GO BACK TO THE GENERAL FUND FOR ADDITIONAL CLASSROOM ITEMS OR SPEAKERS ETC.
EAGLE PRIDE IS AN ORGANIZED COMMITTEE OF COMMUNITY MEMEBERS RASING FUNDS TO ENHANCE THE SCHOOL HEALTH AND WELLNESS FACILITIES. THIS MONEY WAS TRANSFERRED OVER TO THE NEW YORK MILLS EDUCATION FOUNDATION FROM THE NEW YORK MILLS PUBLIC SCHOOL (WHO WAS MANAGING THESE FUNDS) TO MANAGE THE FUNDS UNTIL THEY CAN BE SPENT IN THE PROPER PLACE FOR THE PLAYGROUND OR HEALTH AND WELLNESS REC. AREA.
