MARIN MADE IS A COMMUNAL MAKERSPACE OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. MARIN MADE HAS THE MOST ADVANCED MACHINES THAT ARE DESIGNED TO ENAMBLE ITS USERS TO CREATE JUST ABOUT ANYTHING. IF SOMEONE HAS A PROJECT IDEA OR WOULD LIKE TO MAKE A PROTOTYPE OR AN ARTISTIC CONCEPT THEY CAN COME TO MARIN MADE TO GET HELP IN MAKING IT HAPPEN. EXAMPLES OF THE PROJECTS THAT TAKE PLACE AT MARIN MADE ARE: A) DESALINATION MACHINE - WE DESIGNED A SOLAR POWERED MACHINE THAT DISTILLS SALT WATER AND MAKES FREDSH WATER. B) WELDING CLASSES - WE HAVE BEEN TEACHING WELDING TO YOUNG GIRLS AGES 10-15. THEY MAKE STEEL FLOWERS AND SPRAY PAINT THEM. C) LEATHER BAG MAKING CLASS - WE TEACH HOW TO MAKE A HANDBAG OUT OF LEATHER OR BUFFALO SKIN D)HISTORICAL SOCIETY - THE HISTORICAL SOCIETY CAME TO US FOR HELP IN CREATING A DONOTR WALL TO LIST ALL THE DONORS FOR A HISTORIC PLAZA IN DOWNTOWN SAUSALITO E)UC BERKELEY SCHOOL OF ARCHITECTURE - WE HELPED THEM MAKE A LARGE MODEL OF THE HUMAN BRAIN WITH THE NEURAL PATHWAYS FOR THE OPTIC NERVES.
