HOST HALL MEETINGS THAT RAISE AWARENESS OF THE NEED FOR CHANGE, COMMUNICATE INFORMATION ABOUT THE PROCESS BY WHICH CHANGE WILL OCCUR, LAY THE FOUNDATION FOR BROAD-BASED COMMUNITY SUPPORT, AND IDENTIFY COMMUNITY MEMBERS INTERESTED IN PARTICIPATING IN DEEPER LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES. SIGNIFICANTLY INCREASED COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT IN THE SOUTH SAN ANTONIO AND EDGEWOOD SCHOOL DISTRICTS, WITH SBP SUPPORT, SOUTH SAN ANTONIO ISD EARNED RECOGNITION BY THE TEXAS EDUCATION AGENCY AS AN EXEMPLAR OF GOVERNANCE PRACTICES.
