FUTURE FOCUSED EDUCATION ORGANIZATION, WAS ESTABLISHED IN 2014 AS NEW MEXICO CENTER FOR SCHOOL LEADERSHIP. DURING THE YEAR ENDED JUNE 30, 2018 THE NAME WAS CHANGED TO FUTURE FOCUSED EDUCATION. THE ORGANIZATION WAS CREATED TO DEVELOP HIGH SCHOOLS AND EDUCATIONAL LEADERS WITH INPUT FROM THE PEOPLE WHO HAVE THE MOST AT STAKE IN THE SUCCESS OF OUR EDUCATIONAL SYSTEM: STUDENTS AND FAMILIES, COMMUNITY MEMBERS AND EMPLOYERS. THE VISION OF THE ORGANIZATION IS TO CREATE AND SUSTAIN A HEALTHY, VIBRANT AND RESPONSIVE NETWORK OF SCHOOLS THAT IS A CATALYST FOR EDUCATION POLICY REFORM LOCALLY AND NATIONALLY. THE ORGANIZATION RECEIVES FINANCIAL SUPPORT FROM GRANTS, CONTRACTS, AND CONTRIBUTIONS.

FUTURE FOCUSED EDUCATION CONTINUED TO SERVE AS THE HUB FOR THE LEADERSHIP SCHOOLS NETWORK, BUILDING ON THE INFRASTRUCTURE CREATED IN THE PRIOR YEAR. THE ORGANIZATION ALSO INCREASED THE SCALE OF THE PAID INTERNSHIP PROGRAM BY GROWING THE NUMBER OF INTERNS AND EMPLOYER PARTNERS PARTICIPATING FROM THE PREVIOUS YEAR, AND EXPANDING TO OFFER VIRTUAL INTERNSHIP OPTIONS. THE ORGANIZATION PARTNERED WITH NM PED ON A STATEWIDE CONFERENCE CALLED EDUPRISING AND AN ONGOING, ASSESSMENT-FOCUSED PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT COMMUNITY OF PRACTICE FOR EDUCATORS ACROSS THE STATE. THE ORGANIZATION HAS ALSO PROVIDED CONTRACTED SERVICES THAT SUPPORT SCHOOLS IN CARRYING OUT OUR MISSION OF PROVIDING THE BEST EDUCATION TO STUDENTS WHO NEED IT THE MOST.
